Job Description

Under the leadership of our Platform Leadership Team, the Project Manager is responsible for management and oversight of QAD Redzone’s project implementation by walking the customer through technical requirements, retrieving information from them for the configuration of their deployment, following up with them on their implementation process during weekly calls, and ensuring that both internal and external stakeholders receive updates that will allow for efficient and timely decisions when adjustments in the planning are needed. In addition to that, the project manager also needs to ensure that there is a smooth handover for the coaching and support teams after implementation closeout, as well as supporting validation activities prior to launch.

This position is Full Time, Exempt, Remote and required to travel up to 20% of the time. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and lead the customer journey for 6-12 weeks after each new customer is added until we go onsite to coach.
  • Participate in onsite Success Plan to focus the customer on the priority activities that need completion.
  • Ensure signals are connected and tested prior to onsite coaching.
  • Support the infrastructure and installation for Visual Factory.
  • Guide the customer and provide support configuration to map Redzone to the customer’s site.
  • Highlight any risks and address them with the customer team, Coaching Director, and Platform Leadership.
  • Responsible for overseeing the deployment of Redzone software for multiple concurrent clients- manage the process from the handover from the sales team through providing onsite coaching services.
  • Configure and setup Redzone software that matches the production process at the client’s manufacturing plant.  This process must include manufacturing data such as product and equipment information and product run rates.
  • Ensure automation signals from the plant (such as photo eyes or machine cycles) come back to the software and provide accurate and real time data to Redzone for the shop floor team.
  • Ensure the contractor work with the hardware and automation happens quickly and efficiently while maintaining the project schedule and cost plan.
  • Perform regular weekly status calls with active project teams across multiple clients in order to ensure project stays on track and all milestones are achieved.
  • Responsible for the success of the software and coaching a “Green Go Live” based on project management leading up to that point.
  • Manage client relationships and satisfaction, including but not limited to serving as the point of contact for projects, responding to client requests, and critical events in a professional and timely manner.
  • Understand the escalation process for any critical path items or risk points that could result in delays or unsatisfactory project result(s).
  • Document and maintain the project templates, training decks, and communication tools that are used with clients. 
  • Support on-site Continuous Improvement Coaches and customers with configuration, expansion and automation requests.

Qualifications

  • Understand the shop floor environment, workflow, and processes in Food & Beverage and Consumer Packaged Goods’ for a variety of industries with the necessary depth to foster confidence and to support the client during the project.
  • Sound judgement and excellent assessment skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. 
  • Understand escalation process for any critical path items or risk points that could cause a delay or unsatisfactory project result.
  • Experience working with project management, ideally in software or systems deployments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Experience managing or supporting software projects of different sizes, complexity and contractual types.
  • Proven ability to cut through barriers to accomplish tasks.
  • Confident with MS Office Suite, Windows operating systems and Apple hardware/operating systems.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and function effectively in a dynamic environment, addressing multiple demands of internal teams and clients. Manage multiple deadlines and tasks.
