This role supports daily operations and visitor services across the Colonel Denning State Park Complex. Your work will be focused on safety, public contact, and protecting park facilities. As a Park Resource Ranger, you will perform the following duties:
- Visitor Support: Provide helpful information about park facilities, recreation, history, and natural features
- Public Safety: Respond to emergencies, administer first aid, and assist in search and rescue efforts
- Park Inspection: Check trails, boundaries, buildings, and structures to identify hazards and ensure compliance with park rules
- Office Operations: Register visitors, complete reports, answer calls, and use computer systems for reservations and data entry
- Community Outreach: Give presentations to schools, civic groups, and other organizations about park rules, programs, and environmental features
- Agency Coordination: Work with other state and federal agencies to manage incidents and support enforcement activities

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment in March 2027.
- Work will be scheduled 37.5 hours/5 days per week. Scheduled days/shifts will vary based on operational needs and will include a 30-minute lunch. This position is required to work weekends, holidays, and all shifts deemed necessary to meet seasonal needs.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirements:
- All positions require possession of an active motor vehicle license.
- All employees must obtain valid certification in standard first aid and adult, child, and infant CPR approved by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or equivalent within 60 days of employment.
