Description:
A Key Account Manager plays a key role in growing and nurturing important client relationships. This includes overseeing team dynamics, fostering clear and effective communication with customers, planning trials, and identifying new opportunities for growth.
Lead and support a diverse team, including account representatives, support engineers, and technicians, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.
Manage safety initiatives and guide the customer site technical sales and service personnel, ensuring that treatment programs are monitored and documented effectively. Oversee regular customer meetings and ensure clear communication regarding business expectations and results.
Cultivate and strengthen business relationships with customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and trust.
Meet and exceed sales targets, gross profit goals, product mix, and profitability, all while delivering value and cost savings to clients.
Collaborate with the District Manager to assess team performance, support continuous professional development, and create a well-rounded sales strategy through the PDR process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (Science or other technical degree). Would consider experience in lieu of a technical degree 5+ years of industry experience (pulp and paper or water treatment preferred)
Documented results solving complex and non-routine technical problems
Project management of complex projects
Strong relationship management skills
Experience learning new concepts and/or technology and applying them
Ability to work with autonomy and direct/coach indirect reports
Documented results using a consultive sales process
