NIQ’s Global Account team is searching for highly motivated Sales and Client Service professionals to join our U.S. team in New York/Chicago (can be remote). In this role, you will work with multinational accounts headquartered in the U.S. driving client relationships, developing new opportunities, and building new business. The position is within NIQ’s Tech & Durables business and will focus on selling all NIQ solutions. ​   

Responsibilities:

  • Own client relationships for an existing long-term account
  • Develop new business opportunities at existing and new(er) clients
  • Align key customer priorities with NIQ’s capabilities, identify and convert opportunities to deepen commercial relationships, drive additional revenue, and surpass annual regional sales targets.
  • Drive value for clients through the implementation of the full portfolio of NIQ solutions 
  • Establish NIQ as a trusted business partner with high ROI.
  • Develop sales strategy including white spots, new business, and cross-selling opportunities
  • Assume a leading role in contract negotiations (renewal and new) including rate card based pricing and appropriate NIQ discounting policies
  • Develop proposals/offers to NIQ standards including compliance
  • Maintain regular communication and close collaboration with regional and local sales associates to ensure overall progress on global client engagement and commercial goals
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers, expanding NIQ awareness with decision influencers.
  • Foster and maintain C-suite level relationships to enhance upsell opportunities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of client and market key trends by using NIQ tracking and consumer data to identify and develop growth opportunities.
  • Communicate NIQ thought leadership and innovations to clients.
  • Identify potential problems and propose pro-active solutions to meet client needs.
  • Appropriate use of CRM/CIDB for sales forecasts and related client financials

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 – 7 years of relevant experience with research techniques and solutions in Tech & Durables, Consulting, Information, Sales, Analytics, or similar fields.
  • Specific industry experience in Consumer Technical Goods including IT, Telecomm, Consumer Electronics, or Home Appliances is strongly preferred. Candidates with a background in CPG / FMCG may also be considered.
  • Media industry experience preferred
  • Proven track record of delivering commercial targets
  • Experience in scoping and developing proposals and negotiation strategies.
  • Effective senior-level communication, influencing, and presentation skills
  • Strong client focus, focus to close deals, and result-orientation.
  • Good interpersonal and relationship building skills (internal, external, and cross-cultural)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. We work in a highly collaborative, global environment, therefore effective communication and cultural IQ is critical.
  • Being familiar with both quantitative and qualitative research a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel

Additional Information

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $117,250.00 - $185,000.00.  Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
