Material Handler - 1st Shift

Under the direction of the Warehouse or Production Supervisor, the Material Handler is engaged in moving raw and finished materials to identified locations. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Drive forklift 95% or more of working day
• Use our Warehouse Management System
• Participate in our cycle count program
• Pick cheese, ingredients, packaging and/or other raw materials for production
• Wrap pallets
• Inventory control
• Stack pallets in pallet racking
• Work safely
• Comply with our company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards
• All other duties as assigned

Attendance Incentive: This position includes an attendance incentive ($1 added to base pay rate with perfect attendance for the week)

 

Hours: Monday through Friday, 5:00am - 1:00pm. Occasional Saturdays required based on business need.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous warehouse experience is preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to use computer systems
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs on a frequent basis
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals  
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees of the organization
