CHMG Finance Director - FT - Day - Capital Health Medical Group

Position Overview:

The Medical Group Finance Leader is responsible for overseeing the financial operations, strategic planning, and fiscal management of a healthcare organization’s medical group. This role ensures financial sustainability, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting growth initiatives and performance improvement. ​

• Develops and executes the financial strategies that align with Capital Health Medical Group (CHMG) and Health System objectives.
• Leads financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for physician practices through partnership with the budget, reimbursement and finance teams.
• Uses Provider Data-Driven insights to support leadership in decision-making and operational improvements.
• Partners with the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team to optimize professional billing, coding, collections, and payer reimbursements if applicable.
• Monitors Revenue Cycle Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including, but not limited to, denial rates, charge lag, and net collection percentages.
• Works with RCM Leadership/Operations to implement strategies that improve charge capture, coding accuracy and overall cash flow.
• Ensures alignment between financial planning, IT and revenue cycle operations to optimize reimbursement efficiency.
• Partners with the finance team to presents financial reports and prepares financial insights to CHMG and Hospital leadership.
• Ensures compliance with Federal, State and payer regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid.
• Collaborates with finance to review reporting analytics to ensure data integrity and alignment.
• Analyzes practice expenses based on budget and financial goals and implements cost-savings initiatives while maintaining high-quality patient care.
• Supports physician compensation modeling and contract negotiations with alignment to financial goals.
• Acts as a key financial advisor to Physician leadership and administrative teams.
• Leads and mentors finance members within CHMG on financial performance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or Healthcare Management. Master's degree preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Finance in a similar role, healthcare experience required. Experience with Medical Group Financial Service Management preferred.
