As the National Sales Director (NSD), US - Chronic for Advanced Wound Care (AWC), you will direct and lead a multi-level specialty sales team within the U.S.  You will develop direct reports (Regional Sales Managers & Specialists) and drive performance to accomplish sales and EBIT goals. As a strategic sales leader, you will also be responsible for leading and liaising with fellow commercial colleagues in AWC, Healthcare Systems, Contracting and Pricing and Marketing to ensure enterprise growth programs are executed flawlessly. Reporting directly to the Vice President - North America, you will be a point of escalation for customers, sales team members and other internal and external stakeholders of the business as we strategically invest for sustained, profitable growth.

Please note: The ideal candidate will reside in either the Eastern or Central time zone of the United States.

Your key duties and responsibilities:

You will plan, direct, implement, and shape strategies and execution and monitor activities for the AWC Chronic business by performing the following duties including (but not limited to):

  • Achieve organizational objectives through effective leadership
  • Coach, lead and motivate direct reports to success and ensure goal attainment while fostering an environment of accountability to results, teamwork and sharing winning best practices across the nation
  • Develop and communicate strategic sales plan and validate the ability to pull through by demonstrating revenue growth and market share capture
  • Ensure marketing plans and strategies are implemented and executed upon, effectively resulting in achievement of sales and market share objectives
  • Consistently assess the execution and implementation of the sales plan utilizing sales and CRM data
  • Manage robust performance management plans to overcome deficiencies through consistent coaching and assessment including implementation of improvement plans or execution of termination activities when necessary, in collaboration with HR
  • Continuously strengthen and enhance diverse talent through recruiting, consistent talent assessments, development and succession plans
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners (i.e. Marketing, Commercial Excellence, Healthcare Systems, Channel Management, Clinical, Human Resources, Sales Training, Legal and other internal and external stakeholders)
  • Serve as a liaison between corporate functions and field sales
  • Plan and conduct sales meetings in accordance with national marketing plans and programs or as needed with Commercial leadership
  • Provide guidelines to all sales and marketing activities
  • Keep the organization's purpose, mission, vision, and behaviors at the forefront of decision making and actions, while driving consistent growth

About You:

As a proven commercial leader, you possess a strong understanding of the U.S. hospital business and have agile learning capabilities across innovative product and service technology.  You are a transformational leader with strong strategic and business acumen, that has driven sustainable change and growth, ideally in the competitive surgical/perioperative hospital space. You have demonstrated success in consistently exceeding performance objectives, launching new and innovative products in a differentiated market, with proven examples of driving impact and growth across your teams. You have effectively formed and led high-performing, direct sales teams and you bring a hunter mentality, exceling at driving strategic initiatives, are skilled at overcoming access challenges and you know how to enable access for your team.
