The Assistant F&B Manager assists in managing the Food and Beverage Department while ensuring all operational aspects of the department are always maintained. They will assist managers with service, cost responsibilities, operating decisions, progressive discipline management, and company policies and procedures.
- Assist in interviewing, selecting, and training new team members.
- Assist management in preparing the necessary administrative records and reports for all areas of responsibility.
- Review, adjust and administer working schedules of team members, including bidding and scheduling.
- Understand, implement, and comply with all contractual obligations described in any bargaining agreement entered by the company.
- Supervise the work processes and procedures of team members, including assigning tasks or apportioning work to be done by team members.
- Review team members' performance, productivity, efficiency, and attendance to ensure guidelines are met.
- Address complaints, grievances, or concerns from team members under the areas of responsibility.
- Protect and preserve the assets of the company.
- Promote policies, procedures, and processes to increase revenue and effectively manage expenses.
- Administer proper use of progressive disciplinary actions including but not limited to clarification of policy, written warnings, suspensions, and recommendations of terminations.
- Facilitate communication between management and team members.
- Attend and/or provide training as needed or required including but not limited to sanitation, safety, and alcohol awareness.
- Provide the safety of team members including keeping areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris, and litter and performing all job duties safely and responsibly.
- Assist team members with any necessary job functions for the efficient management or administration of business.
- Meet and ensure department uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements.
- Any job duty needed to promote productivity in the efficient administration of business
- Always practice excellent customer service skills when addressing customers’, vendors’, suppliers’, and team members’ needs courteously, promptly, and professionally.
- Meet all departmental or company project and assignment requirements and deadlines.
- Adhere to all gaming laws and regulations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental or company matters.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to prepare, read, and interpret documents. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and communicate effectively with individuals and groups of people.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
LICENSING
Must be able to qualify for any and all licenses or permits required by local, state or federal law.
