Product Manager, Binding Authority

As a Product Manager focused on Binding Authority, you will report to the product lead of this team, centered on efforts to integrate insurance products, analyze performance, and implement opportunities in relation to our customers needs and carrier requirements. You will work closely with Engineering, Carrier partners, Underwriting Operations, and our customers to discover and execute on problems for our ecosystem. At Pathpoint, our Product Managers have one foot in the world of technology and one foot in the world of insurance: the desire to to understand pain points and opportunities through quantitative and qualitative methods is paramount.

What you'll contribute to

• Collaborate across teams to build insurance products for agents to access -- such as writing product documentation, partnering with engineering in development, and reviewing appetite and the available offering with underwriters, sales, and operations.
• Collaborate across product and engineering to develop carrier integrations requirements including working with our carriers to understand upcoming changes, their apis, issues encountered, and potential opportunities to grow.
• Ensure existing carrier integrations are up to date with underwriting guideline changes and API changes.
• Analyze product performance data and user behavior in Pathpoint’s data warehouse to understand areas to improve insurance product metrics and the user experience.

What we look for

• Proven ability to use data analytics, research and testing methodologies to drive business decisions, diagnose problems, and recommend action plans to resolve issues.
• Proficiency with SQL and excel.
• 2+ years professional experience building software or working with integrations partners and apis.
• Abilities to prioritize and move fast.
• Experience working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Empathy for users and a track record of making better outcomes for them.
