About the role

In this role you will:

The Clinical Assistant Trainer is responsible for developing and maintaining the training materials for Clinical Assistants and for onboarding and training all Clinical Assistants. They are charged with meeting with providers to ensure accurate training material and staff compliance, providing guidance, corrective action and retraining as needed. 

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Clinical Assistant Trainer will report directly to Clinical Assistant Supervisor.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to all new Clinical Assistants, ensuring they are accessible to them.

  • Creates a positive work environment by motivating others and encouraging positive thinking and teamwork.

  • Provide initial onboarding and training to all new Clinical Assistants.

  • Provide feedback and recommendations to Clinical Assistant Supervisor and Manager on new trainees.

  • Submit all preceptor forms to Clinical Assistant supervisor.

  • Perform 3 month follow up trainings with all new Clinical Assistants.

  • Development of Clinical Assistant training materials, updating as needed based on up-to-date best practice and compliance issues, new protocols, and provider feedback.

  • Turn in preceptor forms for all new clinic leads to Clinical Assistant Supervisor.

  • Will show the ability to make independent decisions about changes or updates needed for all training materials.

  • Should feel comfortable providing feedback and corrective action to Medical Assistants.

  • Show the ability to work through difficult or crisis situations in clinics, developing an appropriate and prompt action plan.

  • Audit new Clinical Assistants both during clinic and with chart prep to ensure proper workflows and productivity.

  •  Travel to all locations to interview providers for Clinical Assistants performance issues, developing a rapport.

  • Should be able to present large-scale groups for Clinical Assistants training when needed.

  • Assists or backs up Clinic Leads as needed.

  •  All other duties as assigned. 

About You

  • High School Diploma
  • Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate
  • BLS Certification, or must complete within 30 days of employment
  • Preferably three years in a related field
