Summary

The function of this position is to provide Peer Recovery Support to ALL Club Participants experiencing mental illness and/or substance use disorders. Collaboration and communication with Montgomery County ADAMHS, OMHAS, community behavioral health providers, and GESMV staff is essential in this position. Employees are expected to value highest ethical standards, quality clinical care, and good customer service. We also value quality communication skills in a collaborative, multi- disciplinary and often multi-agency environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities supervised by an appropriately licensed practitioner include:
1. Informs clients of limits to confidentiality and rights regarding services delivered.
2. Provides Peer Recovery Support services within supervised scope of practice in collaboration with clients.
3. May refer clients for emergency consultation and crisis assessment intervention.
4. Maintains efficient and timely documentation of services within GESMV Behavioral Health guidelines.
5. Integrates services and/or makes referrals to appropriate professionals or outside agencies as indicated.
6. Participates in the assessment of programs needs and peer review, as well as cooperates with performance improvement and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) as defined.
7. Performs community outreach, information and referral, and education assignments, as well as consultation services as approved by supervisor.
8. Complies with confidentiality and protected health information rules including HIPPA.
9. Attends community meetings, GESMV staff meetings, in-services, case conferences, supervision sessions, etc., as scheduled.
10. Complies with all Agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintains same to meet CARF, Department of Labor, and other regulatory standards.
11. Performs other related duties as assigned, including support activities as needed to augment functioning of the agency.
12. Maintains clear communication with ALL Club Participants, ALL Club Staff and ALL Club Leadership team.
13. Maintains appropriate Peer Certification(s), as needed.
14. Actively creates programming for ALL Club Participants in accordance with Peer Support guidelines.
15. Supports ALL Club Staff with coverage and support during day to day programming and program needs.
16. Cultivate and maintain positive rapport with local school districts and other community partners to further engage students with ALL Club programming.

Supervisory Responsibilities
None

Education Requirements

Must be certified as a Certified Peer Recovery Supporter. Must maintain up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications.

Experience Requirements

Experience as a person with the lived experience of mental illness and/or substance use disorder. One year of experience providing Peer Recovery Support services is preferred. Experience working with school age individuals and adults 18 and above, preferred.

• Employee must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider. Must maintain proof of having auto insurance.
• Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
