Business Continuity and Incident Management (BCIM) controls are designed to reduce the impact and severity of disruption associated with the loss or unavailability of people, systems, premises and third parties (or other incidents) that create customer, regulatory, reputational and/or financial impact.

Reporting to the US BCIM Assurance Testing Lead, the US BCIM Assurance Testing Coordinator supports the US entity’s Resilience Assurance & Testing capability by coordinating the planning, execution support, evidence capture, reporting, and remediation tracking for resilience exercises and tests across Business Continuity Management (BCM), Incident Management, and Operational Resilience (including scenario test plans for US Important Business Services (IBSs) and evidencing preparedness against defined impact tolerances). You will collaborate closely with Global teams, coordinating US inputs to Group test planning under the direction of the VP and ensuring appropriate IBS stakeholders are engaged.

In addition, the role coordinates the annual Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) review and approval cycle for a select portfolio of business functions, supporting BCM lifecycle governance, documentation quality, reporting, data validation and ensuring plans and BIAs remain testable and evidence ready.

As our Business and Operational Resilience Testing Coordinator you will:

 

  • Support the US BCIM Assurance Testing Lead in coordinating the US BCIM annual testing plan and integrated calendar, including scheduling, stakeholder engagement, logistics, and tracking deliverables to completion across BCM, Incident Management and Operational Resilience testing
  • Prepare standard materials (briefing packs, agendas, minutes/actions logs, evidence checklists), support selected tabletop/simulation exercises, and ensure evidence packs are complete, organized, and audit-ready in line with internal standards. Escalate material gaps in scope, execution, or documentation to the Lead
  • Maintain trackers for issues/actions arising from exercises and incidents, coordinate updates with owners, and support closure discipline (including re-test coordination where directed by the Lead)
  • Compile routine management information (e.g., completion status, action ageing, recurring themes) and support governance reporting by maintaining accurate underlying data
  • Coordinate the annual BIA refresh and BCP review/approval cycle for a defined set of business functions as part of your assigned portfolio, performing pragmatic completeness/quality checks and maintaining an evidence-based audit trail; escalate material gaps and non-compliance to the Lead
  • Build effective working relationships with Business and Function contacts and coordinate with related resilience capability teams to ensure testing outcomes and lessons learned are appropriately captured and progressed
  • Coordinate collection and organization of third-party/supplier testing evidence in partnership with relevant teams (e.g., service owners), and escalate gaps to the US BCIM Assurance Testing Lead

 

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

 

  • Proven experience in a coordinator/analyst capacity supporting business continuity, incident management, operational resilience, operational risk, or control/assurance activities in a regulated environment (financial services preferred)
  • Exposure to Operational Resilience testing for Important Business Services (IBSs) and/or scenario testing against impact tolerances
  • Experience coordinating third-party/supplier resilience testing evidence in partnership with relevant teams
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate end-to-end activity across multiple stakeholders (planning, scheduling, tracking, follow-up), with strong attention to detail and minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of the BCM lifecycle (BIA, BCP maintenance, exercising/testing, lessons learned
