The Solar Field Helper – Removal and Reinstallation Position Sunnova Energy is looking for a Solar Field Helper with expertise in the removal and reinstallation (R&R) of residential solar systems. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the R&R Technician/Electrician in safely and efficiently deconstructing existing solar systems and reinstalling them at the same or new locations. You will play a crucial part in the sustainability and energy efficiency of residential properties, and your technical skills and attention to detail will be essential to the success of our projects. This position requires excellent communication skills and a “customer first” attitude.  Sunnova is a dynamic company, looking for motivated people who are ready to make a difference in the solar industry.  Responsibilities
Solar System Removal: ·     Assist the Solar Technician/Electrician in meticulously deconstructing residential solar panel arrays, prioritizing the safety of the property and system components.
·     Carefully disconnect and remove inverters, batteries, and other system elements.
·     Properly handle and store removed solar panels and equipment to ensure their integrity.
·     Always ensure that all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
Solar System Reinstallation:
·     Assess potential new installation sites with a keen eye for optimal solar exposure and structural soundness.
·     Install racking systems, brackets, and other hardware to facilitate seamless solar panel reinstallation.
·     Expertly connect and configure inverters, batteries, and wiring to ensure the solar system functions at its best.
·     Rigorously assist in testing and troubleshooting the system to guarantee optimal performance.
Customer Interaction: Actively listen to and address customer questions and concerns, ensuring their complete satisfaction with the solar system relocation.
Safety and Compliance: Maintain a steadfast commitment to safety protocols, guidelines, and regulations.
 Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in solar installation is preferred.
Must be registered in a CT accredited electrical training program
Some hands-on experience in the solar industry, roofing, or comparable trade.
Ability to use hand and power tools for system installation and removal.
Roofing and/or construction experience is highly valued.
Strong problem-solving skills and unwavering attention to detail.
Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Dedication to adhering to safety guidelines and regulations.  Preferred Qualifications OSHA 30 Certified 
Formal apprenticeship and/or vocational training experience
0-1+ years’ experience in the solar electric industry 
>1 years’ electrical experience Electrical training
Bilingual, English and Spanish  Working Conditions ·        Location varies depending on job site
·        Estimated travel 75% both in and out of state, 10-15 overnight stays per month
·        Able to work an adjusting schedule and respond to emergencies
·        Driving Required; Valid Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Report required Physical Requirements
·          Long hours spent outside of residential rooftops, driving to customer residencies, some ground and rooftop work 
·          Various weather conditions include cold and snowy, hot and humid, and everything in between; must be comfortable working in different environments
·          Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; assistance may be provided for oversized items 
·          Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and drive for up to 8 hours at a time
