We are hiring Principal Firmware Verification Engineers to support programs for our US military and various international customers, keeping the world safe from foreign threats.  As a Principal Firmware Verification Engineer, you will be a member of an Integrated Program Team (IPT)) creating complex Firmware Verification solutions for Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), System on Chip (SOC), and Complex Programmable Logic Devices (CPLDs). Development activities may also include laboratory integration, test and evaluation, fault isolation of prototype hardware, and system qualification testing support. 

What You Will Do
    • Develop system and/or FPGA verification architectures based on high level requirements
    • Generate firmware verification requirements based on the system architecture
    • Generate firmware verification documentation that describes the firmware verification architecture, test plans, and coverage
    • Build UVMF/ System-Verilog based test benches with agents, predictors, scoreboards, test cases to verify HDL based designs
    • Create assertions, functional coverage, and code coverage
    • Use constrained random verification
    • Create scripts to automate verification and test activities
    • Instruct, lead, and mentor other firmware engineers
    • Less than 10% business travel may be required

Qualifications You Must Have
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in digital hardware design and verification
    • Expertise in Universal Verification Methodology Framework (UVMF)
    • Experience in both System-Verilog and VHDL languages
    • Successfully have completed several designs for various devices and applications
    • Designed communication interfaces and bus standards (e.g., AXI, SPI, I2C, PCIe, UART, or Gb Ethernet)
    • Tested and verified designs using logic analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, and/or target device debugging tools
    • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
    • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required 
    • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
 

Qualifications We Prefer
    • Experience in leading a team of engineers as an Control Account Manager using Earned Value Management (EVM)
    • Provide proposal support, cost and schedule estimation, and generate technical documentation related to contract deliverable items
    • Experience in designing HDL based digital circuits that are structured and readable
    • Experience in generating constraints for target device
    • Experience in target device trade studies, recommendations, and selection
    • Experience in verifying target device functionality in laboratory environment
    • Experience in FPGA design implementation with VHDL design language
    • Experience in the following tools: AMD (Xilinx), Intel (Altera), Lattice, Microsemi (Actel) FPGA, Mentor Graphics, Synopsys, Cadence, Formal Verification
    • Experience in TCL, Perl, or Python for Scripting
    • Experience in development with Linux Operating System
    • Experience in Source control: GIT, SVN, Clearcase
    • Experience in AGILE development
