Job Summary:
The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Discipline organization is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE).
The SPY-6 Family of Radars and the GhostEye family of radars are seeking a talented Systems Engineer Intern to help in the execution of integration and analysis activities. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for helping to identify issues, generate solutions, and verify the solutions are implemented as designed. This role will require communication skills to convey solutions and results to teammates and leadership.
This position is onsite role.
This position can be a Junior, or Senior Technical Intern based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below:
- (Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Junior by start of internship
- (Senior Technical Intern)- must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Senior by start of internship
- (Post Graduate Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Master’s degree program and classified as a Post Graduate by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment.
What You Will Do
- Support systems requirement development and analysis.
- Support activities in our labs and document requirement verifications.
- Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations, including the use of analysis tools, such as MATLAB
Qualifications You Must Have
- Must be a Junior, Senior, or Post-Graduate standing by Summer 2026
- Pursuing a BS, MS or Post Graduation Degree in either of the following Engineering: Electrical, Computer, Systems, Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial, or Math/Physics.
- Matlab and/or C++ experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S.
- citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience or coursework in System Design
- 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
- Modeling and Simulation experience
- Ability to analyze issues and define solutions
- Strong communication skills including effective written, verbal, and listening skills Selfstarter with the ability to independently pursue information and solve problems
- Proven strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
- Basic Engineering skills and interest in how systems are developed and function
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment Ability to problem solve and seek out additional resources
