We’re looking for you to join our team as a Principal Business Management Analyst – Accounting based out of Annapolis Junction, MD or Chantilly, VA.  This onsite option may be staffed as a hybrid role from the MD or VA location. This position offers the 9/80 schedule.

What You’ll Get to Do:
The Principal Business Management Analyst will support the Accounting department and report to the Accounting Manager.  

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsible for supporting Monthly Billing Reporting and Analysis. This will entail running/extracting data out of SAP, using advanced excel functions to reconcile and analyze the data and creating published reports related to various items including Unbilled AR, Financing Payments, Prior Year Invoicing efforts, and Suspense.

Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the reporting and reconciliation process. 

Present generated reporting and variance analysis to Leadership. 

Collaborating with team members, Programs, PCAs, and Leadership to support various project efforts.  Perform necessary clean-up activity, communicating findings from analytics and communicating the need for and facilitating the processing of Profit Plan Adjustments/FNBL/JVs.

Responsible for all Billing Compliance matters. This will include being primary point of contact for and coordination of all Request for Information and any CAR/DCAR notices received from the government related to invoices.  All necessary and related research and review of the official responses. Support of the development and implementation of corrective action plans in response to the audit findings. Tracking and reporting of the inquiries. 

Coordination and presentation of the Accounting System Audit and related System Description as it related to Billing, along with SOX Audit inquiries and process walkthrough demonstrations. Knowledgeable of and act as an advisor for Billing Compliance matters. 

Provide oversight and guidance to ensure our billing processes remain complaint with current regulations and represent best practices.

Responsible for coordination of all Billing Team Training initiatives. To include obtaining all LX certifications to be able to create, schedule, host, and track attendance of LX trainings. Contribute to training content and coordinate and review contributions of others to the training decks to ensure complete and professional published trainings. Oversee assignments of trainings to team members and help track completion of trainings, with a focus on new team members, ensuring all Billing Specialists are fully trained in an efficient and timely manner.

Ideal candidates must be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and follow compliance protocol.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related professional experience - OR - a Master's degree with 3 years of related professional experience

  • Knowledge of applications in a computerize
