Description

As a General Laborer, you will support various operations within the oil and gas industry by performing a wide range of physical tasks in a dynamic work environment. Your role is essential to maintaining the efficiency and safety of oilfield operations, assisting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring that work sites remain organized and compliant with safety standards.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining the worksite, including clearing debris, setting up equipment, and ensuring safe access to work areas.  
• Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment to and from the job site, ensuring proper storage and organization.  
• Support skilled workers, such as rig operators, welders, and mechanics, by providing tools, materials, and general assistance as needed.  
• Help with routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and tools to ensure they are in safe working condition.  
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, participating in safety meetings and reporting any hazards or incidents to supervisors.  
• Perform general labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying, as well as assisting with the assembly and disassembly of equipment 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.  
• Previous experience in oilfield work or a similar labor-intensive role is an asset but not required.  
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions.  
• Basic understanding of safety practices in industrial environments.  
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors. 
• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as directed.  

Work Setting/Location:

• In-Person 
• Outdoors in all weather conditions 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and ladders 
• Ability to work in various temperature ranges both indoors and outdoors.  
• Ability to read, speak and hear clearly. 
• Ability to see well enough to read and interpret reports, diagrams, and manuals, and operate a motor vehicle.  
• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds or poles 
• Ability to bend, twist, kneel, stoop, crouch or crawl 
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and routinely move at least 50 pounds.
