About the Position:
The Medical Logistics General Manager (GM) is responsible for the overall performance of the Medical Programs portfolio and has full authority to act for the contractor on all matters related to daily operations of each program. The GM ensures contractual compliance, mission success, and customer satisfaction by providing strong leadership, sound decision-making, and effective communication.

The GM must be available Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding Federal holidays or government facility closures.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Program Portfolio Oversight
• Provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure the successful execution of all contract requirements.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain open communication with leadership and clients to proactively address challenges and develop effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain succession planning for key personnel.
• Provide oversight into the development of Standard Operating Procedures and process maps.

Operational Management
• Ensure adherence to site safety protocols and enforce compliance with established procedures.
• Oversee daily logistics operations, preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and workflow efficiency.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), taking corrective action when performance is outside target thresholds.
• Manage subcontractors when applicable, ensuring quality, timeliness, and compliance with contractual obligations.

Personnel Management
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate program managers to ensure high performance and engagement.
• Coordinate hiring, onboarding, and training activities.
• Overwatch performance evaluations and administer disciplinary actions as necessary.
• Promote career development and employee retention initiatives.

Client and Stakeholder Relations
• Work closely with Quality, Safety, Program, Mission Support, Business Development, and Contract/Compliance Teams.
• Conduct formal presentations and status briefings as required.
• Collaborate with Business Development to identify opportunities for service expansion and scope growth.

Financial and Contract Management
• Develop and manage annual operating budgets, forecasts, and cost-control measures.
• Support contract negotiations and modifications.
• Identify and implement cost savings initiatives across all project areas.
• Act as lead in audits and inspections.
• Ensure contract compliance with all applicable service requirements, Department of War, local, and international regulations.

Required Skills and Competencies
• Proficient in the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and/or other Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) (i.e. Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) and Health Information Management System (HIMS).
• Proficient in warehouse operations. The duties will include overseeing receiving, shipping, storing (stowing), selecting (picking) supply turn-in (disposal), packing (kitting and stuffing) or unpacking (downloading) and inventory of general or specialized material and equipment.
• Proven leadership and management experience in logistics, maintenance, or engineering environments.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related business field is required, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Department of War (i.e. Army, Air Force, Air National Guard, Navy) medical logistics at the operational and/or strategic level and supply management, including supervisory experience as
