Position Summary
To maintain a continuous supply of raw materials at all grinding complexes, to load any vessels requiring a front endloader, to provide on-site transportation of material in process, to provide transportation of finished goods to and from the underground warehouse as necessary, provide plant road maintenance services which includes watering, and inspect mobile equipment as required. This position is on day shift, working a rotating 12 hour day from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining compliance with the Huber Sustainability Management Standard requirements, within their sphere of influence. This may or may not include compliance with any air permits, wastewater permits, storm water permits, or other rules as presented to the employee as requirements.
1. Provide sufficient raw ore (Quincy and Jamaican) in the correct time frame to avoid any loss of production due to lack of ore.
2. Provide on-site transportation and off loading of material in process when necessary (Q60, W325, off-spec, Q4, W4, 40x200 and reclaim, excess stone to stockpiles when crusher silos are nearly full, etc.)
3. Provide food grade feedstock to Nutrition mills.
4. Provide transportation of finished goods to and from underground warehouse when necessary.
5. Provide clean up services to spills, railroad tracks, roadways, etc.
6. Performs equipment inspections each shift.
7. Maintain underground stockpiles.
8. Provide plant road maintenance services - watering.
9. Provide high pressure water wash to specialized needs when required.
10. Provide flat bed delivery service as schedule permits.
11. Performs other duties as assigned by the Stock Truck Coordinator.
12. Employees must learn and observe applicable company policies and safe practices and perform all duties assigned by supervisors. This description covers the significant duties of the job but may not include occasional assignments which would be within the evaluation of this job.
13. Knowledgeable of the ISO quality system as required to ensure compliance to the ISO 9001 quality standard.
14. Follows FSMA guidelines in the daily production of product.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must maintain a Commercial Driver’s License (Class A CDL with tanker endorsement.)
- Must learn to safely operate dump trucks, end loaders, tractor trailer, water truck, backhoe, forklift, skid steer loader, flatbed truck, pneumatic semi trailer and pickup.
- Must be able to perform mathematical calculations including multiplication, addition, percentages (can be accomplished using a calculator or manually).
- Must have good communication skills with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to read and comprehend safety policy manuals, SOP’s, SDS, and various production schedules/reports.
Physical Requirements
Normally working from the cab of a piece of mobile equipment, but occasionally involved in manual labor. Sometimes exposed to heat, cold, inclement weather, noise, vibration, ground limestone spillage, liquid lignin sulfate, grease, oil, diesel fuel and gasoline.
Schedule: Normally a two-truck driver team shifts to accommodate principal duties 1 thru 14, with one additional driver covering absences. A stock truck driver’s regular schedule is 6a – 6p on dayshift, 6p-6a on nights.
