Senior Cost Accountant

Provide financial decision-making by gathering information, analyzing, and presenting data on costs. Responsible for all tasks related to costing, including developing and updating standard costs, variance analysis, and cost control. Look for opportunities to implement process improvements and assist with special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Establish a process for preparing and updating standard costs and work closely with operations management in updating material detail lists, including department expense types, material usage, and yields.
• Develop cost models to show senior management and support pricing and cost decisions, particularly in the sales function, in evaluating the profitability of current products and new opportunities.
• Responsible for the operations planning process, including coordinating the realization of departmental expense budgets and the development of gross margins.
• Control and identify opportunities for improvement in processes and compliance with corporate policies and accounting principles.
• Develop and maintain standard work for all cost accounting activities.
• Provide information and interact with internal and external auditors as requested.
• Assist with special projects, as needed.

Requirements

Intermediate or higher university degree, preferably Business, Economics or Business Administration.

High level of English, spoken and written

From 3 to 5 years of previous experience in administration departments performing accounting tasks and managing work teams (preferably a multinational company).

Advanced Office user (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Advanced user of SAP management systems, CSM
