If you are looking to stretch and grow your career our culture will embrace you. Open up opportunities with HPE.</p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Job Description:</b></p><p>   </p><p><b>Job Description:</b></p><p></p><p>Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead its Private Cloud &amp; Flex Solutions team in Galway.  Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will oversee a team of engineers dedicated to delivering innovative cloud and on-premises enterprise solutions and services.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><b>Engineering <span>Leadership:     </span></b><ul><li>Lead and inspire engineering teams to innovate and collaborate.</li><li>Manage design, architecture, integration, release, lifecycle and Day 2 proactive support of complex systems for compatibility, performance, and reliability.</li><li>Collaborate across teams to align with Private Cloud Solutions strategies and organizational objectives.</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li><b>System Scalability and Reliability:</b>  Implement monitoring systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and security of private cloud solutions.</li><li><b>Governance and Compliance</b>: Enforce production readiness standards and ensure compliance with internal and industry security regulations.</li><li><b>Cross-functional Coordination</b>: Partner with business stakeholders, technical leaders, and development teams to address integration challenges and propose solutions for private cloud implementation.</li><li><b>Agile &amp; Process Coach:</b> Implement and sustain Agile practices, process workflows, and documentation frameworks for systems integration, utilizing tools like Jira and Aha! for effective project tracking and task management.</li><li><b>Team Leadership and Development: </b>Build and develop high-performing teams by fostering innovation, accountability, and professional growth.  Oversee direct reports, including hiring, performance management, and career development.</li><li><b>Delivery Optimization and Alignment:</b> Enhance Day-1 through Day-N processes for faster deployment outcomes in collaboration with HPE Services partners.</li><li><b>Customer Support: </b>Ensure customer deployments meet agreed SLAs by closely aligning engineering and partner support teams.</li><li><b>Technology Leadership</b>: Promote the adoption of emerging technologies, such as AI, to improve processes and delivery.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications</b><b>:</b></p><ul><li>Proven leadership experience in systems integration, particularly in private cloud solutions.</li><li>Expertise in systems engineering, including storage, compute, networking, virtualization, and distributed systems.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.</li><li>Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure monitoring tools.</li><li>Track record in managing complex technical projects and cross-functional teams.</li><li>Proficiency in Agile methodologies, including Scrum and SAFe frameworks.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education and Experience Required:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.</li><li>Typically, 10+ years of related work experience, including 5+ years of people management.<br/> </li></ul><p><b>Knowledge and Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Advanced leadership skills, including coaching, teambuilding, <span>conflict resolution,</span> and management.</li><li>Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and collaborate across diverse teams, value chain partners, and customer networks.</li><li>Superior business acumen, technical knowledge, and industry experience encompassing one or more engineering, technology, and product domains.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Additional Skills:</b></p>Accountability, Accountability, Action Planning, Active Learning (Inactive), Active Listening, Agile Methodology, Agile Scrum Development, Analytical Thinking, Bias, Coaching, Creativity, Critical Thinking,
