Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll provide critical care to patients receiving Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), ensuring safe and effective treatments. You’ll perform wound care, manage documentation, and maintain a safe environment by overseeing equipment, supplies, and decompression procedures. You'll also conduct safety drills, support quality improvement initiatives, and collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care. Additionally, you’ll help promote HBOT services, assist with outreach to physicians, and contribute to the development of safety policies and procedures. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to impact patient care while ensuring safety and operational excellence.Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
Experience
- 2 years of experience as a Hyperbaric Technologist preferred
- 1 year of experience as a Hyperbaric Safety Officer preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
- One of the following is required
- EMT - Emergency Medical Technician Certification issued by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians
- RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California
- LVN - Current State of California Licensed Vocational Nurse License
- RCP - State of California Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- CHT - Certified Hyperbaric Technician preferred within 1 year of hire or transfer into position
