Job Summary
Reverse Load Planner will be responsible for planning and execution of all daily return and outbound transportation needs, creating value through efficient modal and carrier decisions while eliminating undue transit cost and delays. Collaborates and partners with Carriers, Customers, and Warehouses to drive process continuous improvement around transportation-network and final mile flows.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor new or pending return orders and plan/optimize/tender/dispatch within consented time frame.
- Maintain and organize accurate data related to customer orders pending and in process.
- Work across multiple systems to decipher route requirements and Update status or information into the systems (TMS, WMS, ERP, Excel Spreadsheet)
- Coordinate with Sales, Customers, Carriers, Drivers, and Warehouses to ensure maximum productivity, customer service, and on time pickup & delivery performance.
- Instruct carriers and supervise actions required to meet or exceed expectations.
- Track and maintain on time pickup and delivery performance of the carriers.
- Monitor load planning progress and proactively communicate to minimize potential service failures.
- Collect and manage freight documents (BOL, POD) and validate information to ensure all products are returned and shipped accurately. In case of information mismatch, assist finance team for dispute.
- Ability to communicate with various internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot shipping issues and provide visibility (daily tracking log).
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationship with Customers and Carriers.
- Understand how various routing decisions affect Key Performance Indicators.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, preferably in Supply Chain Management
- Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated strength in customer service, time management, and problem-solving
- Proven analytical and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), PowerPoint, and Power Query.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred (Preferably Supply Chain or Logistics)
- Extensive depth of knowledge of Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain Preferred
- Strong planning skills, for creating reports for business leaders
- Proficient, high-level skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills, collaborative problem-solver, effective communications
- Organized, responsible, ability to work independently and as a part of a team
Salary Range - $60,000 - $70,000
