We're expanding our AlphaSense Assistant team, creators of an innovative real-time interactive chatbot. This feature, seamlessly integrated with advanced Language Models like ex-LLMs and AS-LLMs, works in tandem with the AlphaSense Knowledge Store for AI. Its purpose? To revolutionize the research process for AlphaSense users.</p> <p>The Assistant feature not only offers a comprehensive overview of relevant documents tailored to user queries but also allows for in-depth follow-up questions and provides detailed citations. This is made possible by enhancing our search engine to function as a knowledge store, delivering diverse responses including charts, tables, and structured data.</p> <p>Your role will be crucial in collaborating with our skilled Java and JavaScript teams. You'll be working both with the frontend and the GraphQL applications layer. Our technology ecosystem is built around TypeScript and Node.js. You'll fit right in if you're familiar with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and Azure, and have experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.</p> <p>As a member of our dynamic and culturally diverse engineering team, located across India and Europe, you'll immerse yourself in our empowering "you build it, you run it" culture. Our development process is driven by a large-scale React application, supported by a micro-app architecture and a robust GraphQL backend.</p> <h4>Core Responsibilities</h4> <ul> <li>Lead and develop the frontend and GraphQL application layer using TypeScript and Node.js</li> <li>Collaborate with backend engineers to design and implement optimal solutions</li> <li>Engage proactively with stakeholders, including product managers and designers, to deliver customer-centric products</li> <li>Promote a culture of collective code ownership, best practices, and continuous improvement within the team</li> </ul> <h4>Requirements</h4> <ul> <li>Mastery over React, TypeScript, and their respective ecosystems - 5+ years of experience</li> <li>Hands-on experience in developing Node.js backends, ideally in a GraphQL setting</li> <li>Demonstrable interest in working closely with multiple stakeholders to deliver an outstanding product</li> <li>Good communication skills in English, coupled with a collaborative, team-first approach</li> <li>Experience with working with git, build systems like Bitbucket, JIRA</li> <li>Familiarity with SCRUM framework</li> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline</li> <li>Previous experience with GraphQL and Apollo Federation is highly desirable</li> <li>Expertise in building containerized services deployed in cloud environments using Kubernetes and AWS</li> </ul> <p><strong>What we offer</strong></p> <ul> <li>Playing a part in the story of a fast growing company</li> <li>Interesting career opportunities and training</li> <li>Relocation support for single employees, couples and families</li> <li>While we do have an office in Helsinki, we’re a distributed company.
