Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

ACES Speech and Language Services Department is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. ACES is looking for an SLPA to provide support in the New Haven County/Naugatuck Valley Planning Region to one of our member districts. Services would be provided under the supervision of the district's Speech-Language Pathologist.

Primary Performance Responsibilities

• Provide direct therapy services addressing speech and language treatment goals developed by the supervising SLP for the students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Assisting the SLP during students’ assessments and/or administering and scoring assessment tools, exclusive of clinical interpretation.
• Developing and implementing activities and materials for teaching and practice of skills to address goals of the student developed by the supervising SLP.
• Collect ongoing student performance data and report information to the supervising SLP.
• Provide treatment through a variety of service delivery models (i.e., individual, group, classroom-based) as directed by the supervising SLP.
• Consult with school teams to assist in meeting the needs of specific students.
