Job Description:
At Regions, the Fiduciary Review Analyst has the primary function of reviewing all required documents including governing documents for all types of Wealth Management accounts to ensure the account opening, termination and/or asset transfer process is completed in accordance with Wealth Management procedures and regulatory requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provides fiduciary review of all documentation, including governing documents for Wealth Management accounts
- Partners with external clients, contra firms, and/or internal partners to coordinate account opening, closing and/or transfer activities
- Consults on moderately complex client documentation and develops solutions based upon subject matter expertise
- Manages the set-up, implementation, administration, asset transfer and closing of wealth accounts ensuring account fiduciary principles are followed and risks are identified and mitigated
- For openings, ensures quality assurance of all documentation, performs enrollment, enrichment and post set up review to ensure timely and accurate acquisition of new client accounts
- For closings, ensures annual administrative reviews are completed, directs and ensures all final expenses are charged, coordinates with internal partners to ensure non-discretionary and discretionary distribution procedures have been followed, handles final annual tax coordination, handles daily cash management for account through closing, coordinates administrative account closing functions with attorneys, co-trustees, investment advisors, and CPAs, Instructs the designated person or unit on the disposition of assets and cash from assigned trust accounts
- For asset transfers, maintains advanced investment security knowledge
- Ensures all accounts comply with applicable internal programs and procedures
- Remains abreast with industry trends to ensure prudent administration and investment management
- Partners with leadership and technology to define business requirements and perform user acceptance testing for new Wealth Management technologies that enhance innovation
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of Trust or closely related experience
- OR High School Diploma and seven (7) years of Trust or closely related experience
Preferences
- Juris Doctor (JD), however this position will not be authorized to practice law on behalf of Regions Bank
- Experience in Trust Administration and Institutional/Retirement Services Administration
- Experience in Transactions including GST, 65-day elections, LLC’s and Partnerships, Decantings or Modifications, and 5/5 Powers
- Experience with Trust and Fiduciary principles
- Experience in Trust Accounting
- Familiarity with governing/applicable laws and regulations
- Professional designations and/or certifications
