About the role

You may qualify based on your experience an/or education as described below: Individual Occupational Requirements: Positions in this series range widely in type and include support duties to medical or health personnel such as audiologists, speech pathologists, medical officer, and optometrists. Therefore, technician experience is experience that requires application of the knowledge, methods, and techniques of the position to be filled. Specialized Experience GS-07: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience include, but are not limited to: applying skill of body systems (e.g., skeletal, muscular, nervous, respiratory, circulatory) to conduct patient assessments and provide emergency patient medical care; operating emergency vehicles and a variety of emergency/medical equipment, tools, supplies; and using communication techniques and equipment to relay information to and from dispatchers and health care providers. -OR- Education: Successful completion of one (1) full year of graduate education directly related to the work of this position. This education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. (Transcripts Required) -OR- Combination: Combination of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. (Transcripts Required) NOTE: If you qualify based on a combination, your experience must be documented in your resume and transcripts are required. Education cannot be credited without documentation. Selective Placement Factors (Screen Out): Selective Placement Factors (SPF) are a prerequisite to appointment and represent minimum requirements for the position. Applicants who do not meet the SPF are ineligible for further consideration. Must possess a valid/current state or national issued license/certification for eligibility for employment (EMT). (Certification documentation required to receive credit for further consideration). Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) Certification. (Certification documentation required to receive credit for further consideration). Must possess a valid and unrestricted state driver's license.
