We are seeking a qualified Senior Intelligence Operations Engineer (All-Source) to support the Army’s integration of Science and Technology efforts into Army operational intelligence force.  As the team Operations Engineer, this person will serve as the SETA POC for all intelligence mission command systems related activities regarding technical infrastructure, architecture, capabilities, and processes/authorities.  Additionally, responsible for tracking all intelligence command systems related science and technology (S&T) research projects through S&T lifecycle and will facilitate integration of technology from basic research through operational employment.

Responsibilities

  • Position will report to the organization's Senior Science and Technology Advisor.
  • Assist in the evaluation of system-level and operational requirements for Army Intelligence and Security Enterprise (AISE).
  • Working with the client's requirements process and interface with units/customers operating within the AISE.
  • Provide technical assistance and engineering support necessary to fulfill evaluation and testing activities including tradeoff and upgrade studies, requirement analysis, and rough order of magnitude cost evaluations.
  • Provide technical and engineering support necessary to inform the management of requirements to include system design, upgrade, modification, testing, deployment and systems sustainment.
  • Provide technical and engineering support and planning activities that are necessary to migrate systems through successive architecture revisions and upgrades.
  • Provide informal on-the-job-training (OJT) to familiarize civilian and military operations and sustainment personnel about hardware upgrades, capabilities, and modifications.
  • Provide technical and engineering support to assist in the timely activation of system upgrades and installation of new systems, including system design, procurement of components, creation of documentation, system build, and system integration and test.
  • Participate in weekly project and engineering meetings to review project progress and issues.
  • Must be familiar with Army Intel Mission Command Systems (DCGS-A, AIDP, ICI, Palantir, GCCS, Etc.)
  • Must have extensive experience in data flow requirements from tactical edge nodes such as IFS servers, through DCGS-A Brain sites, and to joint & national databases.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of collating single source intelligence data (SIGINT, HUMINT, GEOINT, MASINT, OSINT, Etc.) for IPBE, POL, COA Analysis, RFIs, Etc.
  • Must be familiar with data formats, knowledge management procedures, and IT dependencies to facilitate aforementioned systems and processes. 

 

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:

  • When not traveling, this position operates on a standard 8 hour schedule Monday - Friday with expectations of reporting onsite with limited telework available. 

TRAVEL:

  • The position expects up to 25% travel.

CLEARANCE:

  • Active Top Secret with SCI (TS/SCI) clearance at the time of application is required. *This position is not open for clearance sponsorship, upgrade, or reactivitation."  

 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience in data or computer science, desired.
