NexusTek is a U.S based, managed IT service provider to small and medium sized organizations. We excel in tackling the complexities of IT, such as cloud services, cyber-security, document management, data back-up and protection, and more.  

Our mission is to take away technology headaches allowing our clients to focus on their core business.  

NexusTek’s 300 employees span 35+ states to service our growing client base. We have physical offices in Denver, Irvine, and Boston. 

 
Working hours 

8am – 5pm with some after hours as needed 

 

Location requirements 

Remote, work from home in the United States 

Travel will be required  

 
Why this job is exciting 

Feeling stagnated in your current IT role? You won’t at NexusTek - no two days are alike in the virtualized hosting and MSP world! The SVP, Cloud Consulting is responsible for leading the entire cloud consulting practice, focusing on public cloud implementations and transitions in medium sized client opportunities. This role will play a critical part in driving the growth and success of our cloud practice, focusing on forklifting applications to the public cloud and consulting on refactoring applications to optimize performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.  This role serves the clients of NexusTek as a member of its senior management team. 

 

Who you are 

You are a professional with 10+ years of experience in IT professional services, with a focus on public cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS. You possess a strong business acumen with a proven track record of leadership, successful delivery of cloud migrations and transformation projects for mid-market customers. You have a broad understanding of infrastructure hardware and software systems along with extensive experience in cloud migrations, architecture, pre-sales engineering, technology selection, and project management. 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred. 

Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent. 

 

You know how to: 

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive the growth and profitability of the public cloud professional services division.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of cloud architects, engineers, and consultants to deliver exceptional services to our mid-market customers.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align professional services initiatives with overall company goals and objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to mid-market customers, understanding their business needs, and providing strategic guidance on leveraging Azure and AWS to achieve their objectives.
  • Drive client engagement and build lasting relationships by delivering high-quality, innovative solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional professional services and managed cloud solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex cloud projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize cloud solutions that align with industry best practices and compliance standards.
  • Drive business development efforts to expand our customer base and increase revenue streams within the mid-market segment.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop compelling value propositions, marketing collateral, and go-to-market strategies for cloud professional services.
  • Participate in pre-sales activities, including solution design, proposal development, and client presentations to win new business opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in public cloud computing.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and development within the professional services team, encouraging certifications, training, and knowledge sharing.
  • Assist in capturing “Atomic Assets” for re-use for new clients and maintaining intellectual property for Nexustek.
  • Contribute thought leadership content through blogs, whitepapers, webinars, and speaking engagements to enhance NexusTek’s reputation as a leading cloud services provider.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and integrating information technology initiatives and leading effective, cohesive teams in diverse organizations with multiple sites across state lines or large geographical areas.
