Job Description
The Quality Assurance (QA) Associate reports to the QA Manager and performs the following functions:
- Monitors support equipment program;
- Assists with generation and review of Control Charts and Method Detection Limit (MDL) studies;
- Prepares logbooks for use in the laboratory;
- Transcribes hard copy documents into a digital platform;
- Assists with organization of the corrective action system;
- Assists QA Manager with accreditation authorities including updating certification module and gathering information for renewals and amendment applications;
- Assists in maintaining accurate information in LIMS modules including Method Limit Groups, sample splitting, equipment information, etc.
- Assists the Quality Specialists and lab staff with internal audits, corrective action review, test method assessments, and overall implementation of the QA program;
- Assists in scheduling of proficiency testing samples and other QC samples, including holding blanks;
- Responsible for guidance in on-boarding new employees, creating new-hire packets, assigning new hire tasks and follow-up of their completion, and maintaining training records.

- Bachelor’s degree in a science related field is preferred.
- Adherence to safety protocol and operation procedures;

- Communicate well with coworkers and management; read, understand and comply with SOPs;
- Concentrate, focus, and be attentive to details;
- Use a keyboard to enter data; work under medium to high stress level;
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a continuous basis, stand for prolonged periods; work upright, bend and use hands and arms repetitively to perform moderate physical work duties; the ability to push carts with objects on board weighing up to 50 pounds; hearing and speaking are needed to listen effectively and talk with individuals in person or on the phone; specific vision abilities required by this job include; close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Additional Information
Position is full-time Monday-Friday 9 a.m.- 6 pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Tustin, CA are encouraged to apply.
