JOB SUMMARY:
The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for tuning and optimizing cybersecurity tools, including ESS, Elastic, ConfigOS, and Tanium, to enhance system performance and threat detection capabilities. This role creates custom dashboards to visualize security data for rapid identification of issues and trends, integrates security products to ensure seamless communication and data flow across the infrastructure, and troubleshoots and resolves tool-related issues. The engineer manages upgrades and deployments to implement the latest features and security patches, configures and runs scripted audit tools, and supports system administration activities across Windows and RHEL environments. Additionally, the role requires knowledge of Software Assurance (SwA) static and dynamic code analysis tools, such as Fortify, to support secure operations.
- Integrating various security products to ensure seamless communication and data flow across the infrastructure.
- Tuning and optimizing cybersecurity tools such as ESS, Elastic, ConfigOS, and Tanium to enhance system performance and threat detection capabilities.
- Creating custom dashboards to visualize security data for quick identification of issues and trends.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cybersecurity tools.
- Managing upgrades and deployments to ensure the latest features and security patches are implemented effectively.
- Configuring, running, and scripting audit tools.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance required to start.
- IAT Level II / IAM Level I DoD 8570 certification (Sec+ CE or similar).
- Windows / RHEL system administration experience, including installing, tuning, and troubleshooting cyber tools such as ESS/HBSS, ConfigOS, and Splunk/Elastic.
- Knowledge of Software Assurance (SwA) static and dynamic code analysis (e.g., Fortify).
- OS: Windows, RHEL
- Cyber Tools: ESS/HBSS, Elastic, ConfigOS, Tanium, Splunk
- Scripting: Experience configuring, running, and scripting audit tools
- Software Assurance: Static and dynamic code analysis (e.g., Fortify)
EDUCATION/YOE:
- Bachelors with 5+ or Master with 3+ Years of Experience
