The Medicines Supply Team at the Royal Hobart Hospital plays a vital role in ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient distribution of medications throughout Tasmania’s largest public hospital.

The Role:
The Senior Pharmacy Technician - Medicines Supply supports the Manager – Medicines Supply and is responsible for ensuring an efficient and high-quality medicines supply service and providing leadership to Pharmacy Technicians and Stores Officers working in the Medicines Supply area. This includes:
- Coordinating and rostering pharmacy technicians and stores officers.
- Train and assess staff to ensure performance is at an appropriate standard.
- Undertaking purchasing and inventory management duties.
- Working with other Senior Pharmacy Technicians across the State to ensure a consistent performance management approach is taken
- Undertaking the operational duties of the Medicines Supply Manager in their absence.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $81,915 to $94,263 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

Possess or be actively enrolled in Certificate III or IV in Health Services Assistance (Hospital and Community Health Pharmacy Assistance) from a recognised education institution; or
-
Possess or be actively enrolled in Certificate III or IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support from a recognised educational institution; or
-
An Associate Diploma from a recognised educational institution, or an equivalent qualification, that is relevant to the work of a pharmacy technician.
