The Associate Director, Specialty Contract Operations is responsible for contract management of various Special Markets/Specialty Pharmacy (SPP) agreements including those in Specialty Care such as Dupixent, Kevzara, Rare Disease, and Rare Blood; and Gen Meds (especially Synvisc), Immunology, Cardiovascular, and Multiple Sclerosis in the Model N Flex system (RMUS).
Responsibilities include contract management for various markets (including Direct, Indirect, and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) in the form of drafting contracts, accurate loading of contracts/amendments, eligibility, pricing, customer measurement and adjudicating payments in accordance with contracted terms and conditions. Develop monthly/quarterly reporting and communicate results to sales account teams to support performance measurements. Analyze and pay rebates or extend off invoice pricing based on performance measurements. Forecast Cash Flow estimates for Specialty Pharmacy rebates for Treasury. The candidate will have a fundamental understanding of contract strategies, markets, and Sanofi companies’ products. The individual will have ongoing interaction within Market Access Shared Services (especially Pricing) as well as Account Management, Field Sales Teams, Trade, Legal and Digital.
This role will have other managerial roles as assigned, such as Pricing Action Management, Price Protection Assessment, SOX compliance activities, Management Reporting (financial, KPI), and other cross-segment tasks as needed.
Main Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of contracts including analyzing terms and conditions to appropriately set up contracts, contract amendments and contract discount structure maintenance
Accountable to validate, draft, and execute Individual Physician agreements and amendments
Analyze rebate payments utilizing reporting tools and third-party data sources to compare quarterly sales, rebates, utilization, and market share trends.
Verify that all product and eligible members comply with contract requirements – interact with Field Sales to resolve any data discrepancies
Analyze customer performance to determine the effectiveness of performance-based contracts; ensure appropriate contract tier placement
Analyze contract exceptions for interpretation in the system(s) for accuracy of calculations/process compliance
Perform the implementation of new strategies not only pertaining to contracting, but also pertaining to our data and how it is represented in the Field Sales tool
Work closely with Field Sales Digital team and Model N Flex (RMUS) team to ensure our data is represented correctly in their tool
Manage mailbox as the primary point of contact for field sales team/internal teams pertaining to requests/inquiries regarding the programs
Collaborate with Market Access Shared Services teams as well as Field teams, Trade, P2P and the Brand team
Provide education and direction to Account Team and Field Sales pertaining to the strategies and various processes involved in a customer getting access to pricing, including required identifiers and compliance documentation.
Participate in customer meetings
Support Director, Purchase Markets on ad hoc projects as required.
Comply with all SOX requirements.
About You
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
Area of specialization: Business, Finance, Accounting, Policy, Health Care or related field
Experience:
Strong organizational and project management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate to internal teams, including Senior Management/Leadership Team.
