Job Description
The Executive Assistant to the Opinion Editor is a role that embodies professionalism, discretion, and collaboration. Responsibilities:
Provide general administrative support by scheduling meetings, answering phones, submitting expenses for reimbursement, organizing and maintaining confidential files, and arranging travel.
Manage executive’s time by scheduling meetings, reminding about upcoming appointments or reschedules, alerting about time-sensitive emails and requests, booking travel, and preparing materials for meetings and events.
Compose written communications such as emails and memos on behalf of executive.
Oversee project progress and timelines and ensure team members keep to deadlines. Facilitate communication between stakeholders.
Maintain snacks and office supplies inventory by monitoring inventory level, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and restocking.
Coordinate the logistics for office/desk relocations and new employee onboarding by arranging for office furniture moves, packing files, coordinating phone and computer setup, and ordering business cards.
Support the Editorial board by scheduling meetings, greeting external guests, completing security checks, setting up food and drinks.
Ensure accurate and timely payments to freelancer writers and cartoonists and independent contractors by maintaining agreements, updating rates, processing payments, and tracking actual payments against budget.
Requirements:
At least five years of experience as an executive assistant.
Strong writing skills required.
Experience managing projects, setting deadlines and following up.
Excellent organizational and office administration skills.
Ability to remain calm and flexible under pressure.
Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
Professional maturity.
Expertise with Microsoft Office products.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive business and people matters.

The salary range for this position is:
74,000.00 - 111,000.00 USD AnnualThe actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. This position may be eligible for a bonus or incentive program, and a member of the Talent Acquisition team will discuss bonus payment terms and conditions during the interview process.
