Mitsubishi Power, Inc. in Orlando, FL is looking for a Parts Sales & Operations Planning Product Manager.

 

  1. SUMMARY

The Parts Sales & Operations Planning Product Manager is responsible for coordinating all aspects of S&OP for a specified parts scope, within the S&OP Dept of the Service Execution Parts group, ensuring that demand, supply, and inventory are balanced and aligned with the Mitsubishi Power business plan and customer expectations.

  1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Parts Sales & Operations Planning Product Manager has responsibility for management of but not limited to the following products – PGS rotors (GT / ST), compressor blade rings, compressor diaphragms, exhaust cylinders, manifolds, and flow shields.  Core areas of responsibilities for this role include:

Forecasting

  • Develop and maintain forecast for components within scope of responsibility.
  • Coordinate with S&OP Forecast & Demand Manager to provide accurate input to multi-year forecasts for component demand as required by the business plan to avoid shortages and increase revenue.

Demand Management and Configuration

  • Coordinate with LTSA, Sales, and Order Fulfillment to ensure components planning lead times are communicated and that they have demand is entered into SAP ahead of planning lead time.
  • Develop and maintain the service scopes for parts rotations in coordination with Service Operations.

Inventory and Safety Stock

  • Develop and maintain methods to identify unplanned parts demand including recommendations for safety stock levels to support unplanned demand consistent with business plan and other contractual requirements.
  • Work with the sales organization to develop stocking strategy to support transactional book to bill opportunities.
  • Work cross functionally with Engineering, Repair shops, and Quality to analyze and use parts fallout data, along with fleet configuration and standardization, to set safety stock levels.
  • Collaborate with the planning team to identify Slow Moving/ Obsolete Inventory, work with engineering to understand upgrades and usability of components and align with the Sales team to proactively quote and sell those components.

Planning and Execution

  • Act as liaison between the Repair Shops and Program/ Regional Managers for LTSA/ LTMA/ and Transactional Projects.
  • Lead Repair Turnover Document creation and communication for all brown parts and/or Exchange Programs listed in above component/equipment list. Ensure accurate and complete understanding of requirements for individual repair work scopes.
