Job Summary
The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. This maintenance technician will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is operating safely and efficiently by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following diagrams, reading operations manuals and troubleshooting malfunctions.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain plant production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on electric motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, PLC cabinets, and hydraulic systems
- Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications
- Troubleshoot PLCs to find faults preventing machine operation
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems and using precision measuring and testing instruments
- Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques
- Monitor compliance
- Conduct machine installs and repairs, maintenance and facilities repair, including electrical, mechanical, welding, fabrication of special parts as needed
Job Requirements
- High school, trade school, or at least 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong electrical and mechanical experience
- Equipment maintenance, technical understanding, basic safety, power tools, attention to detail, flexibility, supervision, job knowledge, productivity
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Previous repair skills in manufacturing environment required
- Advanced understanding of electrical mechanical parts and tools
- Experience with Beckhoff, Schneider or Seimens PLCs in a plus
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Compensation

The hourly pay rate is $30-$36/hr.
