We are looking for qualified and passionate individuals to help us in the mission of addressing issues like housing, mental health, and substance use. Department of Health Services Community Programs (Housing for Health for Homelessness) and Office of Diversion and Reentry seek qualified candidates to fill emergency Principal Accounting Systems Technician vacancies related to the homelessness crisis.
Under the emergency order, applicants who meet the requirements may be hired for an initial period of up to 90 days, with an opportunity for permanent County employment.
Before your initial work period ends, you will be assessed on your work performance. This assessment will be weighted 100%.
Those who successfully pass the assessment will be considered for permanent appointment as Principal Accounting Systems Technician.

DEFINITION:
Supervises professional accounting systems analysis work in connection with the review, development, and implementation of large scale and complex computerized and non- automated fiscal control systems.
CLASSIFICATION STANDARDS:
Positions allocable to this class plan and supervise accounting systems analysis projects for major County Departments with large and complex accounting systems. Incumbents must have the ability to supervise a small highly specialized staff, and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.Examples of duties
Supervises the study and evaluation of existing departmental accounting procedures, fiscal controls, and accounting forms, in both computerized and non-automated accounting systems.
