A Day in the Life

In this role you will be a technical leader solving complex tool/app problems which may not defined beforehand. You will be owning the team’s systems and work proactively in identifying deficiencies, writing tactical code to solve issues before they impact customers, and working with CRM Statistical Programming/Data science team to scale the solution. You will decompose big difficult server system testability, reliability and diagnosis problems into straightforward tasks, components or features that you will lead to deliver yourself and through others in parallel. You will use combination of software, system tools, processes, diagnosis, and operations knowledge. you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS.

This role will require less than 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• In new product design roles: develops and programs integrated software algorithms to structure, analyze and leverage data in product and systems applications in both structured and unstructured environments.
• Develops and communicates descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive insights/algorithms.
• In product/systems improvement projects: uses machine language and statistical modeling techniques such as decision trees, logistic regression, Bayesian analysis and others to develop and evaluate algorithms to improve product/system performance, quality, data management and accuracy.
• In both theoretical development environments and specific product design, implementation and improvement environments, uses current programming language and technologies to translate algorithms and technical specifications into code.
• Completes programming and implements efficiencies, performs testing and debugging.
• Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Applies deep learning technologies to give computers the capability to visualize, learn and respond to complex situations.
• Adapts machine learning to areas such as virtual reality, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, robotics and other products that allow users to have an interactive experience.
• Can work with large scale computing frameworks, data analysis systems and modeling environments.
• Implement encryption, access control, and firewall rules.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
• Optimize indexing, queries, and infrastructure for speed and efficiency.

Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Nice to Have:

• Bash scripting, and functional programming (e.g., Python).

•Troubleshooting skills.

•Experience with cloud-based data warehouse applications such as Snowflake.

•Large scale human clinical trial experience.
