About the role
Summary
Provides professional and technical support to the Human Resources Staffing Department: Performs specialized functions of a complex nature requiring research and analysis support for a diverse group of professionalsEssential Duties
- Researches salary history and analyzes all experience verifications to determine salary placement within the State and Fulton County Guidelines
- Generates various system reports in SAP for the purpose of assuring accurate pay data, salary placement, separations, default placements and proper position control for schools and employees
- Processes and completes numerous HR Staffing actions in SAP and AppliTrack (i.e. rehires, promotions, demotions, and assignment changes, follow-ups, surplus, etc.)
- Creates and distributes various confidential correspondence (i.e. contracts, employee confirmations, separations, assignment changes, surplus notices, etc.)
- Prepares timely and accurate system reports to assist the HR Staffing Director with budget, surplus, and staffing
- Serves as a primary contact for the HR Staffing Director, Principals and school staff with system questions, recommendations, salary questions, procedures and guidelines
- Collaborates with Benefits, Certification, Compensation, Finance, Leave Administration, Substitute Services, Talent Management and Workers Compensation, etc. as needed to ensure an efficient workflow process
- Assists in providing training to the Professional Assistant III and others related to HR procedures and functions
- Assists fellow colleagues, HR Learning Communities and Director with day-to-day staffing operations
- Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator
Required Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalentCertification/Licensure

Minimum 2 years of experience working in a related fieldKnowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work with personal and confidential information
- Working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office
- Must be able to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects and responsibilities
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Must be able to collaborate effectively with District and school personnel, the general public, and work with diverse groups of people
- Excellent organizational skills and customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
