We are seeking a Senior Researcher - Microsoft GenAI who is a passionate, creative, and analytical individual contributor with a background in large-scale modeling and inferencing. You'll work on everything from LLMS to SLMs to multimodal systems and specialized coding models, using both proprietary and open-source frameworks. You have direct access to one of the largest curated text, code, audio-visual & proprietary domain datasets in the world. You have access to huge clusters and dedicated MLOps partner team. Furthermore, you can publish, open-source, and speak at top conferences (NeurIPS, ACL, ICML, CVPR, ICLR, SIGMOD, etc.)

Responsibilities
- Develop deep learning techniques to enhance custom Copilot experiences by efficiently adapting large-scale models.
- Design and implement a range of adaptation strategies, including SFT, instruction-tuned coding models, multimodal fusion, post-training with reinforcement learning (RL), retrieval-augmented and tool-augmented reasoning systems.
- Build high-quality synthetic data pipelines to support training and evaluation of customization tasks.
- Collaborate with Microsoft product groups to integrate AI solutions across applications.
- Staying updated with the latest advancements in deep learning, multimodal fusion, and cross-modal interactions.

- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related experience (e.g., statistics predictive analytics, research)
- OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
- OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) r
- OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
