What impact you’ll make:
The On-Site Repairs – Lead Operations Resource Manager will report directly to the OSR Segment Leader and will be responsible for resource fulfilment of all On-Site Repair demands and direct management of the OSR Hourly union workforce.
Job Description
What you’ll do
- Controls, monitors, and reports out weekly OSR expenses, employee applied hours, and overtime of assigned workforce.
- Holds self and assigned team accountable, upholds GE Beliefs and Values.
- Ensures compliance to all GE EH&S, Code-of-Conduct, Travel and Living, and all other applicable GE Vernova policies. Administers progressive disciplinary actions when needed.
- Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of overall outage executions through close coordination and communication between business functions.
- Serve as the primary liaison to management and HR in addressing Union concerns.
- Provides daily leadership and support to OSR’s Union workforce with respect to Safety, Quality, Travel, and Development.
- The coordination and scheduling of OSR Hourly resources across multiple jobs site locations, to meet customer demand.
- Champions open reporting culture with assigned workforce.
- Identifies/determines needed resources and skills with-in.
- Collaborates with Union Officials to ensure adherence to the collective agreement. Serves as the primary liaison to management and HR in addressing Union concerns.
- Coaches and develops employees to support individual performance and development. Including individualized training plans, post project skills review. Maintains employee skills matrix
- Supports initiatives to achieve broader OSS goals & objectives in asset utilization and process improvement
- Partners with Specialty Support Group and/or Event Management to ensure skilled resource-allocation and optimal crew strength
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 6+ years’ experience working with Steam Turbine / Generator On-Site or Shop Repairs environment.
- Minimum of 4 years of prior experience people leading/directing remote teams
- Inclusive leadership & communication skills
- Must be able to work odd hours and/or weekends as needed.
