JOB SUMMARY
- Assists Manager in coordinating activities of Business Office Staff to effectively improve hospital cash flow by maintaining an efficient revenue cycle.
- Compiles statistical reports and analysis and provides to various leaders.
- Initiates ideas and suggestions for work procedures, keeps time and attendance records, and expedites work flow.
- Works with Manager to assign duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and performance to policies and procedures.
- Works with outside collection agencies to assign accounts and recall accounts when necessary.
Education
- High School Diploma and some college.
Experience
- 5 years hospital business office.
- Knowledge of JCAHO and state regulations for both acute and skilled nursing facilities.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to work with physicians in a collaborative manner.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Prefer additional languages.

- High school diploma or the equivalent
- 1-2 years supervisory experience in a medical billing environment preferred
- Previous experience with medical billing systems required, GE Centricity, EPIC or Next Gen preferred
- EPIC claims certification a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Visio preferred
