Job Description
The Senior Executive Project Manager, Risk Management will play a key role in the Risk Management org., with a primary focus on optimizing subrogation recovery and liability claims processes. Reporting directly to the VP of Risk Management, this role will be responsible for assisting in management of vendor partnerships, driving process improvements, and enhancing operational efficiencies across the risk management and claims departments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of risk management practices, including insurance claims, subrogation, and liability, and will collaborate closely with senior leadership to implement strategies that minimize risk while maximizing recovery.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage risk management projects with a focus on subrogation recovery and liability claims, ensuring best practices and maximizing recovery efforts.
• Oversee relationships with vendor partners, including third-party administrators (TPAs) and debt collection agencies, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with company standards.
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies in claims handling, from recovery to resolution, reducing cycle times and operational costs.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop strategies for improving subrogation recovery rates and reducing liability exposure.
• Monitor claims and subrogation performance metrics, providing regular updates and reports to senior leadership.
• Analyze and refine workflows for subrogation and liability claims, leveraging data to inform decision-making and implement necessary changes.
• Lead cross-functional teams to execute risk management initiatives, ensuring successful project delivery within timelines and budget.
• Implement tools and technology to support claims processing, data analytics, and vendor management.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements related to insurance claims, subrogation, and risk management processes.
• Present findings, recommendations, and performance updates to senior management, offering solutions to complex challenges.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process for the risk management department, ensuring cost efficiency and financial accuracy.
• Travel up to 10% as required for project management, vendor reviews, and other business needs.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• 5-7 years of experience in risk management, with a focus on subrogation recovery and liability claims.
• Strong experience in managing vendor relationships and driving performance improvements with TPAs and collection agencies.
• Expertise in process improvement methodologies and project management tools (PMP certification preferred).
• Knowledge of claims processing, insurance subrogation, and liability practices.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
• Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with data analytics tools, Oracle SQL, or similar systems is a plus.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
