The opportunity
Michelin is hiring! We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Event Manager with a passion for and experience in creating unique and memorable events. Working in collaboration and partnership with various members of the Lifestyles team, events will range from Michelin Guide Ceremonies to partner events, dinners and activations.
This position recommends tactics to deliver the event objectives and includes running multiple events at a time. You will work with internal and external partners on creative development, partnering with potential agencies to assist with execution, engaging support roles to assist in execution of the events, selecting and coordinating the event venues, handling all logistics and ensuring the safety and security of each event through collaboration with partners and other team members. You will collaborate with our partners and the supporting team to coordinate pre- and post -communications to participants and partners to ensure the Brand and corporate requirements are supported, tracking key metrics to measure the success of each event and be able to report out to the partners and team post event. What you will do
- Coordinate end-to-end event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audio-visual requirements, communications, etc.
- Develop and manage budgets for each event, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with key internal and external team members and partners.
- Expand the relationships with existing partners by continuously proposing and negotiating solutions that meet their needs and requirements to drive mutual growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored partnership proposals and strategies that align with the brand's objectives and our company's goals.
- Analyze event success against key performance indicators and implement improvements for future events.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned events, providing outstanding customer service and support to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Develop and implement comprehensive event strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives to drive revenue growth.
What you will bring
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Event Management, Hospitality, or related field.
5+ years of Event Management experience.
Spanish and/or French language skills are a plus; valid passport.
Familiarity with Michelin Guide restaurants and chef community a plus.
Proven track record of successfully managing and executing multifaceted and/or even VIP-type events; strong budget and project management skills.
Strong understanding of the event life cycle including concepting, budgeting, communication and project management.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with key stakeholders and partners.
Confidence in identifying potential hurdles in the planning process along with strong problem solving skills.
Excellent time management skills along with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Critical thinking mentality with the ability to develop and execute innovative events to further our partnership strategies.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, yet also individually, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This position is open to fully remote work with management based in Greenville requiring occasional time in the office and preference to EST zone schedule.
