AUSAs do their own legal research and writing and must be substantially self-sufficient in preparing day-to-day correspondence, pleadings, and discovery. This position requires oral advocacy skills and particularly strong writing and organizational skills. Required Qualifications: Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree, be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction), and have at least 1 year post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred applicants will have experience: Litigating complex commercial and financial disputes; Managing a diverse docket of cases with minimal supervision; Managing support staff, such as investigators, legal assistants, and paralegals; Practicing before Federal district and appellate courts; Researching, analyzing, explaining, and advocating unfamiliar areas of law on accelerated timetables. You must meet all qualification requirements upon the closing date of this announcement.
