The JEDI (JADC2 Experimentation and Demonstration IPT) organization, a part of the Connected Battlespace and Emerging Capabilities (CBEC) business, has an immediate need for a Value Stream Leader (VSL). This VSL will lead the development and implementation of the AI and Data strategy as a part of the broader Connected Battlespace Strategic Initiative (CBSI). This includes both internal development and customer funded activities. The Product Line Value Stream Leader (VSL) leads the Integrated Product Team (IPT) through their assigned efforts, inclusive of strategic planning, pursuit and order capture, designing, developing, and transitioning products and capabilities.
This role aligns to Collin’s Aerospace Mission System’s strategic focus to apply Artificial Intelligence and Data across our portfolio focusing strategy, development, and implementation of emerging AI and Data uses cases as a critical technology enablers into our products. This will involve day to day work with engineering and business development, forming a strong triad to assess market space and customer defined gaps, develop product roadmaps, secure funding to fulfill product roadmaps, and implementation into the business.
Experience within and understanding of Artificial Intelligence, it’s systems, use cases, and application for both Enterprise and Embedded system applications are critical. Awareness of this vast and quickly evolving landscape is necessary to make informed decisions of the systems and capabilities necessary to use AI in providing overmatch capabilities for the DoD and reducing the work load / reliance on human operators. Experience in Battle Management, Communications, Command, and Control (BMC3) domain is necessary to converge and connect capabilities aligned to meet our Military’s objectives in a highly contested and highly congested operation.

What You Will Do
Develop strategic execution plan of AI and Date into Collins Mission Systems aligned to our Connected Battlespace Strategic Initiative
Develop and Execute program plans, schedules, and budgets for internally and externally funded programs and manages them to successful completion by leading a matrix team
Coordinate with engineering, business development, and sales to generate technology roadmaps
Supports strategic planning efforts, contract negotiations, and manages key vendor relationships
Collaborate with other internal Collins Aerospace business units on R&D projects and product transition
Manage and prioritize multiple efforts simultaneously across a multi-disciplined team across multiple time zones
Lead and be accountable for Pursuit, Order, & Capture activities as part of growing the business
Interface with customers (e.g., DARPA, AFRL, NRL, NSA, Prime Contractors, etc.) and Senior Collins leadership (VP/GM) of strategy and program execution to obtain sponsorship and funding
Identify and react to program and industry problems and advancements to recommend solutions, such as allocation of resources, changing contractual specifications, and assists in resolution development for escalated problems
Supervises the appropriate use of all resources allocated to the program to ensure efficient use of resources
Be able to travel up to 25%
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
