The Associate Finance Director role will provide pivotal financial and strategic leadership to the US Cardiovascular and Established Brands (‘CV&EB’) business unit (>$12Bi Revenue portfolio) by overseeing revenue models, managing operating expenses, resource allocation, financial performance, budgeting, and Pfizer alliance. This role will be responsible for both significant assets of Camzyos and Eliquis as well as EB portfolio in all aspects of finance with full P&L accountability including budgets and projections, investment analysis, financial processes, management reporting, GTN analysis, and Opex management collaborating cross functionally across the matrix team.

The role offers a challenging opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute significantly to commercial finance and business organizations by closely collaborate with business partners and provide insights/recommendations to achievement of strategic objectives.

This role can be based in either Madison or Princeton, NJ.  For Madison location, twice a week in the PPK office is expected.

Person in the role will:

  • Partner closely with CV & EB leadership team to drive strategy and execution of the business goals
  • Monitor and report on business performance providing insightful analytics and input to variances, challenge results and develop recommendations to improve financial performance
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance on business activities, targets and business drivers
  • Lead development of financial plans including projections and budgets. Manage projection/budget process coordinating with various key stakeholders
  • Partner directly with brand leaders, VA&P and BI&A teams to develop key GTN related judgments and estimates as well as provide analysis on all GTN related activities
  • Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with business partners and involved functions (brand marketing, medical, sales, BI&A, Value Access & Pricing, Supply Chain, Investor Relations)
  • Provide key input into pricing and contracting decisions
  • Drive creation of realistic forecasts and challenge assumptions as appropriate
  • Drive financial discipline and resource allocation supported by KDA and ROI analysis
  • Support development of US finance professionals and capability built in COE operating model

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or a related field
  • Minimum of +10 years relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and robust experience in internal controls
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong business partnering across matrix organization
  • Strong financial planning and analysis background and extensive experience with business planning cycle, budgeting process, demand forecasting, and profitability analysis
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Solid understanding of commercial business models preferred
