ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking a Transportation or Traffic Engineer to join our Transportation Department and work as a member of a team on a variety of projects focusing on roadway and traffic design projects. This includes traffic analysis and planning, performing traffic impact studies, highway alignment layouts, Speed Studies, complete streets implementation, highway permitting, corridor modeling, construction cost estimating. This professional shall also provide transportation support services on large, multi-disciplinary civil/site projects including but not limited to public schools, collegiate/secondary education facility design, rail trail/bike path design projects, Drainage & Culvert design projects, and bridge replacement projects.

Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Typically requires 0-3 years of relevant experience; internship
• EIT registration preferred
• Intermediate skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation and Synchro; and Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
• Experience with construction and/or land surveying is a plus
• Experience with MassDOT design guidelines is a plus
