Provides chauffeur services for hospital including transportation of employees, patients, lab reports, specimens, medical records, mail supplies, packages, etc. as directed.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. High School graduate or equivalent.
2. Valid driver’s license.

EXPERIENCE:
1. Previous experience as a courier, chauffer, or similar position.

1. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, and safety standards.
2. Transports various items to and from various locations and vendors.
3. Chauffeurs patients and employees between several locations.
4. Maintains storage requirements for biological specimens and other item handled during transport.
5. Provides and/or arranges for appropriate maintenance of department vehicles and keeps them clean.
6. Prepare and maintains accurate transportation logs, vehicle fuel consumption logs, and other data as required.
7. Ability to maintain clear and accurate records, logs and reports. Ability to effectively respond to emergencies in and around vehicle. Ability to work varied hours dependent on the needs of the patient or hospital. Maintains vehicle maintenance checklist, cleans interior of vehicle daily; cleans exterior of vehicle as needed, fuels vehicle.

1. Ability to stand and walk short distances for eight or more hours.
2. Frequent bending, stooping or stretching.
3. Ability to lift 50 pounds and push 80 pounds.
4. Normal vision and hearing range.
5. Ability to work under stressful conditions.
6. Ability to withstand rapid pace of events.

1. Hospital vehicle, supply stockroom, loading dock, and medical offices.
2. Exposure to chemicals, infectious waste, heat, cold, loud noise, dust, fumes, and odors.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Respond to changes in volume on a daily basis. Ability to follow oral and written instructions and procedures.
2. Must possess effective reading and comprehensive skills.
3. Must possess excellent all weather driving skills.
4. Must find locations based on address using GPS.
5. Ability to locate off-site locations and complete off-site assignments.
