We are searching for the best talent for Director, Real World Research, Scientific Evidence & Policy Research (SEPR) at Scientific Affairs to be located in Titusville, NJ
Purpose: We are seeking a candidate to enhance our real world research capability. In this capacity the Director, Real World Research will establish and maintain a leadership role within the RW Research Group and proactively collaborating with fellow researchers on the design, analytics, interpretation, and communication of results of RWE studies in support of JJIM products, solutions, and/or disease areas of focus.
You will be responsible for:
The individual will possess profound understanding of business need and data sources as well as skills in RW research methods and advanced technology (AI/ML) to be able to deliver innovative RW studies with quality and speed to meet critical business need in a timely fashion. The individual will serve as a core member on respective IETs to contribute to the strategic discussions and setting RW research plans. This individual will provide technical leadership to colleagues and senior leaders across the organization in evidence generation, communication roles promoting novel and innovative analytic techniques, and ensure productive working relationships within a matrix environment.
The individual is expected to bring innovative/advanced RW research methods, AI/ML and/or advanced technology into real world research to enable or enhance research capability on the RW Research Team from innovatively managing and utilizing databases to advancing/adopting innovative research methods to enhance RW Research Team’s capability and efficiency.
This individual will closely collaborate with RWV&E Leaders, VAP leaders, RW Alliance Leaders, Health Economics and Outcomes Research Leaders, and Data Science Leaders. This individual will also take a leadership role in process improvement, training, standards development for performing scientifically rigorous analysis for observational studies addressing economic, clinical and outcomes research questions. Leadership and/or participation in the authorship of publications and presentations is expected. The successful candidate must be constantly eager to expand their strategical, analytical, and communicating expertise with a focus on RWE studies and be able to effectively manage handling numerous projects simultaneously. This individual may have people management responsibility in the RW Research Group. Mentorship of other researchers is expected, as is participation in the external professional community. This role will also maintain strong relationships with external partners including methods experts, clinical & healthcare experts, market access experts, AI/ML experts, and data science experts.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- A minimum of a Master’s degree is required, and a PhD degree is strongly preferred, in a relevant discipline such as statistics, mathematics, economics, epidemiology, operations research, public health, or health administration.
